2 weeks agoMarfa Burrito is the kind of place that ruins your opinion of other great burritos. Not because it is fancy, quite the opposite. There are no gimmicks here. No clever names. Just soft, pillowy tortillas, grilled on a flat top until they surrender completely. The red sauce has bad intentions. It stains your fingers, finds its way onto your shirt, and has it's way with you. These burritos are built differet: a tortilla, meat, chile, heat, and so much love.

2 months agoOn our way to investigate the Marfa Lights, we stopped by and I ordered the "Gordo" burrito because I'm self-conscious of my weight. Delicious food, great service and great atmosphere! Glad to have stopped by!

2 months agoCool place to visit, the enchilada was fine it’s a good portion for the price and the service is real friendly. There’s some picture of famous people who has visit, it’s a nice truly western Texas experience.

The Gordo burrito is the undisputed heavyweight of the menu—a massive, soulful hug of a breakfast burrito stuffed with perfectly seasoned eggs, potatoes, beans, and cheese. It’s a messy, authentic masterpiece that perfectly captures the Marfa’s rugged yet welcoming spirit; just remember to bring an appetite big enough to match the name. The back outdoor seating area is also an absolutely perfect place to spend an hour in the spring and fall seasons. Highly recommend!

4 months agoMarfa Burrito is one of those rare places that becomes part of your personal Marfa story. I have been coming here for breakfast every single time I visit Marfa, and it never disappoints. These are the legendary Marfa burritos people talk about—huge, handmade breakfast burritos, fresh tortillas, simple ingredients, bold flavors, and zero pretense. This is authentic West Texas comfort food at its best, served fast, hot, and with heart. This spot also holds real meaning for me beyond the food. About seven years ago, I painted my “Pájaro” on the outside wall—art is fleeting in Marfa, and it was eventually painted over, which somehow feels perfectly appropriate for a town that embraces impermanence and creativity. Last year, I returned and placed a Pájaro sticker on the door window, and I’m happy to say it’s still there, quietly living on as part of the place. That alone says something about the soul of this restaurant and the community around it. If you’re searching for the best breakfast in Marfa, a local favorite, or a true Marfa food landmark, this is it. Expect a cash-only, no-frills setup, a friendly line of locals and travelers, and walls layered with history, photos, and stories. Come early, bring an appetite, and don’t overthink it—Marfa Burrito is not just a meal, it’s a Marfa tradition.

4 months agoThe space has a great energy; the staff is nice. They even let our dog in when it was cold outside. However, everyone recommended this spot and it really fell flat for us. I don’t know if it was just an off day, but the burritos we got (cuñado and mike) lacked flavor. The green sauce they came with was nice and spicy and provided any flavor we got.

5 months agoBest start of the day! Burritos are LARGE and completely stuffed which makes eating them on the go quite an adventure. We decided to enjoy them at the place which is filled with memorabilia. And a picture with Matthew McConaughey. Service is quick, simple and to the point. Just as we like it.

6 months agoWhat a fantastic Gem of a find. You won't go away hungry, Burritos are on point and filling even for a fat man like me. Staff super friendly and kind with smiles all around. I ordered the Carne & Cuṅada Burritos. plenty of seating outside and more intimate inside. Sticker friendly as well as sharpie marker friendly ( keep it pg13 please). highly recommend this place and will visit again when in Marfa. Thank you Marfa Burritos 😊🏆🏆🏆🏆
